Linux with Dell?

Michael Dell Looks Different in a Tux
So apparently Dell is now going to be selling computers running Linux. Why?

  1. People are cheap
  2. People HATE windows for some reason
  3. They can’t afford a Mac
  4. They just want to stick it up to the man…Well…The computer man.

I personally don’t like Linux, mainly because a lot of the distributions look really crappy. However, Linspire looks okay. And luckily, it also very compatible and comes with a ton of great stuff to get you started. But don’t get me wrong, my next computer will still be a mac…With Bootcamp for Vista.

I think Dell should just stick w/ Windows. Even Though, in most cases I don’t like Windows,I don’t think they should start selling Linux.

@Reason1 – Yes, They are, but they can afford Windows, besides Dell must get a big discount on Windows, since they are the #1 provider of PCs, but you never know w/ Microsoft.

@Reason2 – Yes, We do… However; I will be getting Windows Vista eventually, I Like it, in some ways, and hate it in others, and laugh at it in other ways.

@Reason3 – People who want Macs will get Macs. PCs that are cheap generally suck and can’t do very much, aside from using the built-in apps– Clock and Calculator.

@Reason4 – LOL

I Don’t like Linux much eeither, too many distributitons, even though I have 10 copies of Ubuntu beside me.
